HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Hope College has tabbed Dr. David Van Wylen as its new dean for the natural and applied sciences, effective July 1st. He comes to Holland from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, where he chaired the Biology Department and served two three-year terms as its associate dean for natural sciences and mathematics. The son of former Hope President Gordon Van Wylen, David Van Wylen was hired after a nationwide search to replace Dr. James Gentile, who held the position for the past two years.
