ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) –Â Sentencing is on April 27th for an 18-year-old Holland man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges in the January 5th shooting death of Derrick Ruff-Shingles. Davon Walker and the Chicagoland man were in a Harbor Village Apartments unit when Walker admitted playing with a handgun and claimed that it went off accidently. Walker fled but was captured; Ruff-Shingles died of a chest wound at Holland Hospital. Walker could get up to 15 years in prison as part of a plea deal.
