Grand Rapids, MI (WHTC) – Consumers are being warned that a shady business is using a fake address in downtown Grand Rapids to swindle clients. According to Mlive.com, “Ocean Finance Credit Services” offers same-day online loans and other financial backings. They list 77 Monroe Center NW in Grand Rapids as their main office, but the Better Business Bureau and the building management says that tenant does not exist. Ocean also lists a 313 telephone number on their website and stationary, but that area code is based in Detroit. Documents collected from the so-called “business” show and unauthorized seal of the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission and an incorrect zip code for the Grand Rapids address. The Better Business Bureau warns people not give out any identification without checking the business out thoroughly.
