HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Friends of Staff SGT. Andrew Seif and his wife have set up a donation account in his memory. A recent Silver Star recipient and graduate of West Ottawa High School, Seif was among 11 people killed when a Black Hawk helicopter went down in the water off the Florida panhandle.

Seif put his life on the line and aided a wounded team member as they came under enemy fire in Afghanistan in July 2012. He received the Silver Star earlier this month, the thrid highest combat decoration awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces.
