WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – With Karen McPhee leaving on March 31st to become Governor’s Snyder’s new Senior Education Policy Adviser, the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District board unanimously appointed her assistant, Julie Gillespie, as interim superintendent through the end of the academic year. The board will also retain the Michigan Association of School Board to help in the search for a permanent new operational leader. McPhee has been the OAISD chief for nearly 11 full years.
