HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – Two 19-year-old Holland Township women, along with a 10-month old boy, survived a harrowing experience yesterday afternoon around 2 PM. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brent Converse, Marisa Sendano was northbound on 128th Avenue at Caryn Way, heading towards Riley Street, when she lost control on the slushy roadway, drifting off to the right and down an embankment, with her vehicle landing on its side in about a foot of standing water. She was able to hand responding deputies the car seat in which the toddler was buckled in, and then both she and passenger Cassandra Ramirez climbed out of the driver’s side window to safety. Ramirez suffered bumps and bruises, while Sedano and the child were not hurt. An investigation into the crash continues.
