HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland Board of Public works is warning customers about phone scams. The scams involve callers claiming to represent utility companies and demanding payment through a prepaid credit card. The scam may also bring in other utility companies as well to demand payment, while threatening to shut off service.
The board encourages customers to report any suspicious calls or other types of contact.
