ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC)-Rickie Shelden Jr. 35, pulled over east of 26th Street early Saturday morning to help pick up a relative whose pickup had broken down. Climbing into the vehicle, he was struck by another eastbound vehicle and killed on the spot.
The name of the driver has not been disclosed by Sheriff’s Deputies and no charges have been issued. There is no indication the driver was drinking or impaired or on a cell phone at the time.
The investigation in the matter continues.
