HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – Charges could be sought against an undisclosed “group of juveniles” that phoned in a bomb threat which evacuated a Holland-area store on Saturday night.
The youths, calling from a residence in the Tulip City, said around 9:30 that a person was in the Walmart on Holland’s North Side with a bomb attached to the chest. The retailer was in the process of getting all employees and customers out of the building when Ottawa County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived. No explosives were found in the store or on any person in the structure. Detectives were able to trace the call to a Holland residence, but didn’t immediately say if anyone had been arrested.
More information is being sought on the matter, and tips to the Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer are welcome.
