UNDATED (WHTC) – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Allegan and Ottawa counties through 7 PM tonight, with strong winds causing blowing and drifting of snow onto roadways, curtailing visibility, and creating wind chills around the zero mark or below. Forecasters expected a let up after nightfall, but cold conditions should continue to linger through the end of the week. Below-normal temperatures since the first of the year in the overall Upper Midwest region have led to nearly 85 percent of the Great Lakes currently covered in ice.
