Trucker Hurt when Struck by Vehicle in Coopersville

COOPERSVILLE, MI (WHTC) – A 55-year-old Wyoming man suffered a broken leg when he was struck on a Coopersville street just before dawn this morning. Deputies say that James Schumacher had climbed out of his semi’s cab to retrieve paperwork strewn across Randall Street near 64^th Avenue when he was hit by a car that didn’t see him in dark clothing with a flash light scampering on the roadway. He was listed in stable condition at Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital; the car driver wasn’t hurt. An investigation continues
