ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – In advance of tomorrow’s Zeeland Alcohol License Review Committee meeting, owner Ajay Sehgal of AJ’s Grocery and Liquor has asked City Council to raise the maximum amount of space for package liquor sales from 25 percent to 40 percent. Past inspections by city staffers have found that his store had exceeded the limit, but that Sehgal had taken corrective compliance measures. The committee should decide on whether to recommend to council AJ’s license renewal during this meeting.
