ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – On recess this week from Capitol Hill, Congressman Fred Upton toured the Perrigo facilities in Allegan this morning. The House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman from St. Joseph met with leaders of the generic drug maker to go over ideas for his 21st Century Cures initiative that aims, in part, to streamline the federal drug approval process. Perrigo’s Charitable Foundation used the occasion to present Allegan General Hospital with a 100 thousand-dollar check for improving endoscopy services.
