Trial of Accused Coopersville Murderer Pushed Back

GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The scheduled March 24^th trial of Michael Roersma on murder charges has been pushed back four months to June 24^th. The move was agreed to by both the prosecutor’s office and the defense attorney for the 50-year-old Coopersville man in order to consolidate all charges into one trial. Roersma is accused of killing his 71-year-old mother Sharon last September 29^th and dumping her body in the Grand River. He is also charged with lying to detectives investigating the case.
