The city of Holland is considering expanding snowmelt system on Central Avenue. Snowmelt could reach Central Avenue sidewalks from 3rd to 5th streets and 6th to 13th streets. The city council debated last night where snowmelt might go, who might pay for it and how much. In the past the city has paid for half the cost of snowmelt and assessed adjacent property owners for the other half. Holland city council will schedule a hearing of necessity for March 4th for all the proposed snowmelt along Central Avenue.
