LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The state Court of Appeals overturned a 2011 conviction involving Earl Kranz and has ordered a new trial. The 47-year-old founder of Allegan-based Seeds of Grace ministry and health clinic was found guilty of six first-degree sexual conduct counts, along with lesser charges, stemming from allegedly assaulting a young female relative in 2008. The appeal was based on the defendant having “ineffective assistance of counsel” at his trial. Kranz was serving between 25 and 40 years in prison.
