GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 23-year-old West Olive man spent Saturday night at Holland Hospital after a two-vehicle crash east of Hudsonville. Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Greg Rotman and fellow deputies were dispatched to I-196 near the M-6 junction around 10:30 PM. Their investigation revealed that Justin Sloothaak was driving eastbound on I-196 when he suddenly changed lanes and was rearended by the car driven by Joseph Deng. Sloothaak was initially listed in stable condition with undisclosed injuries; Deng, a 36-year-old man from the upscale Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
