ALLEGAN (WHTC) -Allegan County investigators say they’ve received word from law enforcement officials in Maine that a Ganges Township man wanted in the murder of his wife has been spotted in that state. Undersheriff Frank Baker says there have several reported sightings of Harold “Butch” Knight in Maine since January 16th and officials are confident the reports are legitimate. In addition, there have been additional reports of the 66-year-old Knight being in various Midwestern states during the past week, but those reports have not been confirmed. Sara Lee Knight was found dead in her home on 116th Avenue January 13th. It is believed she was strangled. Sheriff’s detectives are working with federal, state and local agencies on the case. Anyone with information on Harold Knight’s location is asked to call the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department.
