HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 33-year-old Zeeland man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side this morning. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant David VanderPloeg, Vincente Lopez-Garcia was driving eastbound on James Street around 7:45 AM and had passed 112th Avenue when he lost control near Valerie Drive. His vehicle skidded into the path of the westbound vehicle driven by Thomas Bowen, who couldn’t avoid a collision. While the 59-year-old Bowen of Zeeland was treated at the scene for bumps and bruises, Lopez-Garcia was taken to Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
