HOLLAND (WHTC) -Hope College’s Ben Gardner has been named MIAA men’s basketball Player of the Week. The junior guard from Carmel, Ind. averaged 18.5 points, six rebounds and 4.5 assists last week as the Flying Dutchmen defeated Albion and Olivet. In other Hope sports news, diver Jean-Luc Miralda, who set a school record in men’s 1-meter diving at a meet at Wheaton over the weekend, is the MIAA men’s swimming and diving Athlete of the Week.
