Amway is buying a California-based maker of energy drinks and snacks. The Ada direct-marketing company began selling the drinks made by XZ Energy as an Amway produce for the past 12 years. Annual sales of the product top 150 million dollars.Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Due to his success connecting with consumers younger than 35, David Vanderveen was hired as vice president and general manager for the XS brand. Vanderveen co -founded the XS Energy drink.
