HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Christian Schools officials remain relatively tight-lipped over the circumstances surrounding last month’s resignations of high school principal Troy Stahl and his middle-school colleague Mark Van Dyke. They stepped down on December 19th after more than a decade at their posts over what Superintendent Dan Meester would only say was a “compromise” of the system’s “mission and values.” Meester added that their departures were not tied to any student activity or criminal wrongdoing. For the remainder of the school year, Brian Meek will be the interim high school principal, while Lyle Ahrenholz takes over the reins of the middle school. A search for permanent new principals is underway.
