HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The 20 finalists for being the official 2015 Tulip Time Festival Poster have been announced. Hope College Associate Professor of Art Steve Nelson culled the list down from 120 entries submitted by 68 artists, with representatives from the Festival office and the Holland Area Arts Council determining the Art in Bloom competition winner. Betsy Buurma Morton and John VanHouten each have two entries among the finalists. The winner will be announced during a reception on February 5, with the creation being used in posters and festival merchandising. The other 19 finalists will be put into a “Viewer’s Choice” competition during the May 2-9 festival for cash prizes. The 20 finalists can be seen online at the Holland Area Arts Council website and at the Tulip Time Festival’s Facebook page.
