OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 25-year-old Detroit man is expected to recover from a weather-related injury traffic crash in West Olive during the overnight hours yesterday.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Matt Wildfong, passersby used CPR to help revive Darnell Bowden after the 1:30 AM crash off of 146th Avenue north of Croswell Street. He lost control of his truck, skidded off the roadway, and snapped a utility pole. Bowden was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries, while Consumers Energy crews replaced the broken pole. The crash remains under investigation.
