NUNICA (WHTC) – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Ottawa and Allegan counties and will continue until noon Tuesday with snow, blowing snow and icy conditions. Multiple accidents have been reported on area roads, including several that forced the closing of eastbound I-96 between Nunica and Coopersville. Traffic was reopened in that area around 3:15 p.m. One of the crashes involved an Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department patrol car. National Weather Service forecasters say we could see 3-6 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow, with locally higher amonts possible and wind-chill temperatures around 10 below.
