    Today's Headlines: The state Civil Rights Commission held a panel discussion on various topics at Holland City Hall last night; An unnamed 29-year-old Holland Township man is recovering from injuries suffered when his left leg was caught in a hay baler at a commercial grower south of Grand Haven yesterday afternoon; A self-admitted “City Nerd” will represent the Tulip City in a select gathering of young leaders; There are those who are calling on Bill Huizenga to impart some of Solomon’s Wisdom to resolve the access issue involving the Big Red Lighthouse in Park Township; If one state lawmaker from the Lakeshore has her way, "absentee municipal management" won’t be allowed in Michigan too much longer; Tigers look to bounce back in Texas after #35 was pounded last night; a nice weekend ahead in Lakeshore weather.

    Today's Headlines: Public backlash to an agreement between the Holland Historic Lighthouse Commission, the Macatawa Park Cottagers Association, Van Andel Enterprises and the developers of the Point West One project may force a change in public access to the Big Red Lighthouse; the Saugatuck Planning Commission meets tonight to consider a development proposal for the Presbyterian Camp site; Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Tea Party leaders are demanding a further probe into the IRS scandal about alleged targeting of conservative groups for audits; although it’s been two years since a no vote by five of nine City Council members kept the addition of sexual preference and gender identity out of Holland’s anti-discrimination ordinance, the issue apparently hasn’t gone away; the Tigers hit the road again tonight; the delightful spring weather continues for at least one more day.
