Dropping Ash: Consumers Energy's Dan Bishop

by Gary Stevens

Gary Stevens chats with Dan Bishop of Consumers Energy on July 25, 2013, following this: All three of Ottawa County’s coal-fired power plants were cited in a new report by five environmental activist organizations as discharging harmful ash. The DeYoung facility in Holland, the Campbell complex in Port Sheldon Township, and the Sims plant in Grand Haven were among 274 of 386 nationwide that were thus identified. Officials for all three plants counter that their facilities do comply with environmental regulations.

Consumers operates the Campbell plant.
