Today's Headlines: Members of Congress are enjoying a long summer break and many voters don't like it; the awareness of long-term effects from head injuries in sports grew even more following an autopsy into the death of Grand Valley State star quarterback Cullen Finnerty; the streaking Tigers are still a background story as A-Rod returns to New York; Detroit Lions take to the field in competition for the first time tonight, and they will be taking more than their helmets and pads to the gridiron; the weekend may not begin until Saturday, but the fair weekend weather is already underway along the Lakeshore.
