Common Core Not Commonly Supported: 12 PM News, Sports & Weather 09/27/13

Today's Headlines: A charter boat captain out of the Saugatuck harbor will have to pay 12-hundred-50 dollars for being the proverbial “poster boy” of the state DNR; unemployment went down along the Lakeshore last month, but that wasn’t necessarily good news; with one exception, the Lakeshore’s delegation to the state House went with the majority in approving continued funding of Common Core curriculum implementation in Michigan; the amusement parks in the Midwest may be closed for the winter, but the roller coasters continue to operate at Lakeshore gasoline pumps; the halfway mark of the high school football season along the Lakeshore will be reached at halftime tonight; Sunday may be a blip in the sunny string of weather along the Lakeshore.
