Summary

Yet another Middle eastern head honcho making disparaging remarks about Israel. This time it's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who said on Wednesday 8-8-12, that he was confidant "the fake Zionist (regime) will disappear from the landscape of geography,”. That was reported by Iran's Mehr News Agency. Fake Zionist regime? So the Jews that are living in Israel are NOT really Jews?? Khamenei made his proclamation during a meeting with veterans of the Iran-Iraq War. "The light of hope will shine on the Palestinian issue, and this Islamic land will certainly be returned to the Palestinian nation," Khamenei was quoted as saying. But what about God's promise to the Jew and the "Promised Land"? Earlier on Wednesday Brig.- Gen. Gholamreza Jalali, the head of Iran's Passive (civil) Defense Organization and a former commander of the Revolutionary Guards, during a speech ahead of Al-Quds Day, an anti-Israel event initiated by Iran, said that in order to liberate Palestine there was no other option but to destroy Israel. What bothers me the most is how the current administration makes no bones about it's opposition to Israeli military action against Iran, and the loud debate on the matter in Israel, while senior Iranian officials continue to threaten Israel with destruction.
