Federal Death Benefits Held In Unprotected Accounts?
(3.9 MB)
- Summary
- I recently read a story on line about something called "retained asset accounts" that are used widely by the insurance industry as a way to hold the insured's money in a safe account, while gaining interest for the insurance company as well. David Evans of BloombergNews.com who wrote the article says that while the accounts are legal, he wonders are they ethical? Well the creator of "retained asset accounts" Gerry Goldsholle came on the show to explain that retained asset accounts you are ethical and that they are BETTER than a bank for holding death benefits.
