    Today's Headlines: An altercation that could have been more violent than it was led to the arrest of three persons at a Holland apartment building yesterday; two long-standing Holland traditions could face changes after tonight’s City Council meeting is over; the name of Detroit Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta is among 20 on a list that the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network claims will be suspended for using performance-enhancing drugs; the state law aimed at cutting down on texting while driving has apparently been ineffective; a new and potentially powerful ally has come on board in the battle over keeping the Asian Carp out of the Great Lakes; the Tigers hope to continue their winning ways tonight; clouds and rain are over the horizon and heading for the Lakeshore.

    Today's Headlines: The discovery of a body in Lake Macatawa may have cleared up one mystery, but could have left another unsolved; Saugatuck High won its second MHSAA team title last Saturday by capturing the Division 3 boys’ track and field crown, and the Indians claimed another sports victory outside of the field of play as well; with gas prices above four dollars a gallon statewide, now may not be the right time to talk about raising fuel taxes to pay for road repairs in Michigan; when gas prices spike as they did this past weekend past the four-dollar-a-gallon mark, the email box and the voice mail of Fred Upton gets filled up quickly; the Tigers are back home tonight; another sunny day before rain comes tomorrow along the Lakeshore.
