HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 34-year-old man suffered a medical emergency Thursday morning, which led to a single-vehicle crash, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
Deputies found the crash scene at Lake Michigan Drive and North Campus Drive at 10:08 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020.
The man had been driving a 2004 Toyota Prius west on Lake Michigan Drive when the medical emergency happened. The Prius went off the road, struck a guardrail, stopping in the middle of Lake Michigan Drive’s westbound lanes.
The driver wasn’t hurt in the crash itself, Wildfong said. but did go via Life Ambulance to a hospital for evaluation of his medical condition.
