WEST OLIVE (WHTC-AM/FM) — Distracted driving may have caused a fatal crash Monday afternoon in West Olive, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wilfong.
The crash, at Lake Michigan Drive and 128th Avenue, happened when an apparently distracted driver’s car rear-ended a second vehicle, which crossed the centerline, where it collided with a third vehicle.
Police believe the person killed was driving a car that was hit twice during the crash.
No names have been released. Police continue investigating.
