HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The weather forecast for this weekend should be no excuse for city of Holland residents to not begin Spring Cleaning.
Partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 40’s should be ideal for getting lawns and yards in order as the semi-annual clean up effort in the Tulip City gets underway, according to Mayor Nancy DeBoer. “You can rake yard clippings, shrub trimmings and wind-blown twigs to the curb or the road shoulder for pick up by the street department crews,” she explained. “You can’t do heavy limbs, stumps, garbage and refuse in bags; they won’t be taking that. All of that other (stuff) can be at the curb. That’s what helps us look good and cleans up the community, so put it out there!”
Crews will begin pick up efforts on April 9th. More information is here.
