HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – What is being billed as the first multi-storied building in the City of Hudsonville is under construction.
A site dedication ceremony was held yesterday afternoon for the three-story, 4.2 million-dollar Hudson Center off of Chicago Drive. The structure, being built next to the city’s new Terra Square farmers market and event center, is part of an effort in creating a central area of business, retail and residential development that the city has been lacking, according the its mayor, Mark Northrup, in a statement.
Hudsonville is the latest West Michigan city to look towards developing a downtown district through a combination of local and state funding.
