HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 27-year-old Rockford woman was hospitalized, while an 18-year-old Zeeland man was ticketed following a two-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side yesterday morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Buter, Nathan Visser was driving his SUV southbound on 104th Avenue around 10:30 AM, while Kelcie Martin was eastbound on Quincy Street, when Visser apparently drove through a stop sign and broadsided her vehicle that was crossing the intersection. The force of the collision caused Martin’s vehicle to roll over several times before coming to rest in a nearby ditch.
Martin was taken to Spectrum-Zeeland Community Hospital in stable condition, while Visser, who was unhurt, was ticketed for not stopping for the stop sign. Both drivers were buckled up as the crash remains under investigation.
