LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A Hope College graduate out of Hudsonville will remain a part of an effort by Governor Snyder’s office to combat child abuse and neglect.
Christopher Wirth, a founding member of Core Legal PLC, has represented more than 500 children who were such victims, and will continue to represent judges and attorneys on the Governor’s Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect in a four-year term that runs through the end of 2021. According to a statement from Mr. Snyder’s office, the board promotes the health, safety and welfare of Michigan’s children and families by funding local programs and services that prevent child abuse and neglect.
Also appointed to the Task Force is retired Bimbo Bakeries Senior Vice President Daniel Babin of Grandville, who is currently the chairman of Michigan CASA and a CASA volunteer for Ottawa County. He will represent adult former victims of child abuse or neglect.
