WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A 31-year-old West Olive man remains in the Ottawa County Jail following a brief standoff with authorities late last week.
Ryan Charles Dime was arraigned yesterday in Grand Haven District Court on Threat of Terrorism and Threatening a FIA Employee charges and ordered held by Judge Craig Bunce on 40 thousand dollars bond. Armed but not with firearms, Dime was arrested last Friday afternoon following a 30-minute standoff with sheriff’s deputies following a traffic stop on 120th Avenue near Polk Street. He was wanted after a Thursday night incident in his home when he had threatened family members and case workers over a child custody dispute. Nobody was harmed in either situation.
As a four-time habitual offender, Dime could get life in prison if convicted. A preliminary hearing is slated for this Thursday.
