HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Local school district leaders are joining many others in rallying around a mourning colleague’s family.
Bryce Thomas, the 19-year-old son of West Ottawa School Superintendent Tom Martin, died last Friday. Dr. Brian Davis, head of Holland Public Schools, echoed the sentiments of fellow educators in extending his condolences to the Martin family and to the WO community, and saying that resources for those who need support during this time should be utilized. “Death is a very challenging thing,” Dr. Davis said in his monthly appearance on “WHTC Talk of the Town” with Ed Ver Schure on Tuesday. “We just encourage anyone who is closely connected with that (family) to take advantage of those (resources), to reach out and talk, and to empower them to be able to process those feelings.”
Visitation is on Thursday evening, with a Friday funeral service at Fellowship Reformed Church. More details are here.
