OLIVE TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A two-vehicle crash on US-31 in West Olive yesterday afternoon hospitalized two men.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Eric Westveer, 26-year-old Myles Labeau of Spring Lake had stopped his northbound car for a red light at Port Sheldon Street around 1:50 PM when his vehicle was rammed from behind by another northbound automobile, driven by 34-year-old Sheena Dirheimer of Grand Haven, who told deputies that she didn’t see the stopped vehicle ahead of her. Labeau and his passenger, 21-year-old Jared Visger of Shelby, were taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries; Dirheimer and her two seven-year-old twins riding with her were not hurt.
All involved were buckled up as the crash remains under investigation.
