HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Holland Museum has appointed a new Executive Director. Education and Outreach Manager Connie Lockhart made the announcement on WHTC’s Talk of the Town Program today.
Ricki Levine of Saugatuck will assume responsibilities as the Executive Director of the Holland Historical Trust as of September 18, 2017 She recently worked as the Managing Director of the Frauenthal Center in Muskegon, Michigan. In that role, Levine was responsible for all the business operations, strategic direction and development for the performing arts organization and served as it’s spokesperson. Prior to her time with the Frauenthal Center, Levine was Development Director at the St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan and the Managing Director at the Mason Street Warehouse in Saugatuck, Michigan.
Levine moved to west Michigan in 2005 from Los Angeles, California. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from George Washington University in Washington D.C and is a member of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals and past Board Member of the regional Chapter. She is also a standing member of the Muskegon Rotary club, the Saugatuck Douglas Historic Society and volunteers for AWARE and the Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance.
The Holland Historical Trust is pleased to welcome Levine as they usher in a variety of new exhibits and initiatives this year including, SparkLab, the flagship education program of the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation which will be a new hands-on invention workspace where children and families can learn about and engage in the history and process of invention.
