HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The 2nd Annual Ottawa Connect event will provide services to local residents that they might not be able to afford otherwise
Greater Ottawa County United Way will host Ottawa Connect: Linking to Opportunities and Basic Needs at the Holland Rescue Mission’s Gateway Center located at 661 E 24th Street in Holland.
This event will benefit both Ottawa County service providers and the residents in our community who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness. From 2:00-3:30pm, service providers will gather to learn about other agencies in the area with a goal of increasing cross-network referrals.
The event is October 19 and from 3:30pm-6:30pm, services will be available to those who are facing homelessness or a housing crisis. Free services at this event include: housing assessments, health care enrollment, dental and medical services, employment and education services, hair cuts, family photos, recipe demonstrations and more.
A free dinner will also be available with serving times at 4:00pm and 5:00pm.
Ottawa Connect is made possible by presenting sponsor Huntington Bank.
