ZEELAND TWP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A two-vehicle crash in Zeeland Township sent a 19-year-old Grand Rapids woman to the hospital.
Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene at I-196 and the on ramp at exit 55 around 12:25 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, November 21.
Sgt. Cal Kuening says that Savannah Savage of Grand Rapids was entering the freeway from exit 55 on ramp. As she was entering the freeway, her vehicle spun out on the road. She was struck by a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Kathleen Hathaway of Holland who was eastbound on I-196.
Savage was transported to Holland Hospital in stable condition by AMR Ambulance. Hathaway was not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
