HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The results are in for the Ottawa County election with 72,902 voters heading to the polls and all of the precincts reporting.

The West Michigan Airport Authority 10-year-millage renewal has passed. It will provide more funding flexibility to the Authority Board as it pursues further development of airport property for the benefit of the community. The City of Holland said yes with 71.1% of the vote and the City of Zeeland 67.8% of the vote. Park Township said yes with 64%.
In the City of Coopersville Mayoral election, Larry Crandle is the new Mayor by 43 votes. Crandle received 296 votes and Joel Meintsma received 253 votes. Kenneth L. Bush beat Brian Mooney and Brent J. Veldheer for a seat on Coopersville City Council. Bush received 416 votes, Mooney 393 and Veldheer 394.
In the City of Grand Haven’s Mayoral election, Geri McCaleb won by 178 votes having recieved 1,024 votes with challenger Mike Fritz receiving 846 votes. The race for a seat on City Council was a close race with Robert Monteza receiving 1,085 votes. Dennis C. Scott received 1,063 votes and Andy Cawthon 982 votes. For the City of Grand Haven Board and Light Power Trustee, Gerry Witherell has won with over 40% of the vote.
The race for a seat on Zeeland’s City Council, it was a tight race. Jim Broersma has won with 709 votes. Mayor Kevin Klynstra ran unopposed receiving 738 votes.
The City of Ferrysburg Mayoral race has Rebecca Hopp winning with 51.5% of the vote over Regina Sjoberg.
