JAMESTOWN, MI (WHTC) – A crash in Jamestown Township sent an elderly woman to the hospital on Friday afternoon.
82-year-old Gail Hallas of Jenison was travelling south on 8th Ave. when she stopped at the intersection at Adams St. Hallas then proceeded to turn left onto Adams St. but pulled into the path of west-bound Troy Burger, a 47-year-old Coldwater resident.
The two cars collided, and Hallas was injured in the process. She was transported to Metro Hospital in Grand Rapids and is listed in serious but stable condition. Burger was not injured in the crash. Alcohol was deemed not a factor by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
This is the second crash at that intersection in two months. On March 3rd of this year, two Grand Rapids teenagers were injured in an accident after trying to turn onto Adams St. from 8th Ave.
