Since 1989 they have presented programs for both private an public organizations. An ongoing working relationship with the Ottawa County Department of Parks and Recreation makes it possible
You can join SAAA members for an explanatory presentation at Hemlock Crossing at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. You will learn what causes eclipses, where to go to witness totality, and methods for safe viewing here in Holland.
This program will be followed by an opportunity to observe celestial wonders through SAAA members’ telescopes set up for public viewing. Club members will be on hand to guide guests to the many wonders of the night sky.
Then on Friday, June 2, SAAA will offer guests the opportunity to explore the wonders of the Moon through club telescopes set up at Holland State Park. The program begins at 9:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission to the park is required.
