WALKER, MI (WHTC) – The Lakeshore is targeted in the next expansion of a supermarket chain’s efforts for home delivery service.
Residents and visitors to Holland, Saugatuck, South Haven and Grand Haven are among those in nine communities that will be able, beginning on May 23rd, to get groceries delivered to them from local Meijer stores through the online Shipt app. The service will cost 99 dollars annually, with a seven-dollar delivery fee waived for orders of 35 dollars or more, and for a limited time, new members get 25 dollars off of their first order.
Meijer trotted out this service in March for its home base in the Grand Rapids area, which included Grandville and Jenison, and aims to make it available for the majority of its six-state Midwest market by the end of this year. Shipt is seeking shoppers to accommodate these new communities; more information is on its website at Shipt-dot-com.
