HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The 2nd Annual Ladles of Love is a community soup luncheon fundraiser benefiting My House Ministry of Holland.
My House Ministry was founded in 2012 by Mark and Nancy Jones. After personally getting involved in helping a woman in need move five times in a few months, they decided to do something to further help women in the community. The Jones sold their home in Hudsonville and used the proceeds to rehab a home in the Westcore Neighborhood.
Today in 2017, My House Ministry operates four homes in Holland helping up to 15 women and 17 children by providing hope, housing and guidance. The average stay is 10-12 months and the ministry has Life Skills Coordinators that meet with residents to help them move forward with the skills they need. Over the years, over 100 women and 40 children have lived in the homes and stayed for up to 18 months.
