ALLENDALE TWP, MI (WHTC) – A missing teen has been found and is home safe with his parents.
Sgt. Eric Westveer of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says the deputies responded to a report of a missing 15-year-old male on June 18 at around 11:57 p.m. in the 9300 block of Lincoln Street in Allendale Township. The teen had gone missing sometime during the night according to family members.
While Deputies conducted searches in the area, they received a report of a male subject matching the missing persons description walking in the water at the Bass River Recreation area near 104th Avenue and North Cedar Drive in Robinson Township. Deputies were then taken to the male subject who was in waste deep water by a bystander with a boat.
Contact was then made with the subject and it was verified that he was the missing 15-year-old boy from Allendale. The boy was unharmed in the incident and reunited with his family who took him in for medical treatment and evaluation.
